THEATRE FESTIVAL IN THE PARK
Wednesday, 1 July 2026
This year’s gARTen festival will be inaugurated by powerful and emotional performances by artists from the Accademia Teatro Dimitri.
Through various media, including nonverbal theater, dance, music, and acrobatics, the artists invite us to reflect on daily life in contemporary society.
PROGRAMME
7:00 p.m.: Official opening of the festival.
8:00 p.m.: The duo CorpoSonoro presents Albamarea, an impromptu encounter between the trapeze and live music. Inspired by the movement of water and waves, the performance explores the continuous flow of life, amid emotional tides and ceaseless transformation.
8:30 p.m.: In Take a byte before you judge, Anna Rosito and Luca Gerber use physical theater and spoken word to reveal the gradual breakdown of a relationship. Amid misunderstandings and the increasingly intrusive presence of artificial intelligence in the couple’s intimate space, the project explores contemporary modes of communication and the ability to truly see one another.
9:00 p.m.: with Bucato di ricordi, Margaux Roland and Pauline Mozzini create a poetic fairy tale about friendship and memory, inspired by *The Little Prince*. Physical theater, music, and acrodance come together to tell the story of an unexpected encounter between two very different beings who learn to get to know one another beyond their fear of the unknown.
9:30 p.m.: *I Wanna Be Yours* by Fabiana Angela Grandin and Flamur Shabanaj, on the other hand, explores the dynamics of toxic relationships: amid recurring resentments, denied responsibility, and bonds that are impossible to break, this performance stages an exhausting emotional cycle, approached with wit and a clear-eyed perspective, without seeking someone to blame, but rather possibilities for finding a way through.
10:00 p.m.: in A Fragile Evaporation, The SottSora collective reimagines “Beauty and the Beast”. Fire, ice, dance, and acrobatics become tools for exploring the unknown, demonstrating that only by embracing difference can we find authenticity and a profound connection—with ourselves and with others.
- Starting at 6:00 p.m., the park opens with DJ leMox, a food village, and Radio Morcote’s live broadcast
- All events are free of charge.
- Parking is available just a few meters from the Foundation.
- Under-25s and those arriving by bike or public transport receive a free drink!
- The festival will take place in all weather conditions.
