Our festival of performing arts – spanning prose, physical theater, dance and music – offers three outdoor evenings to immerse yourself in a lively summer atmosphere of art, music, culture and sociability. This edition is part of the MAPS – Mete Artistiche per la Sostenibilità project, supported by Interreg Italy-Switzerland, and received the EFFE Label – the European award that recognizes cultural festivals of excellence.

The 2024-25 theater season includes a series of performances for the whole family, as well as a series of new playwriting performances. Each event in the 2024/25 season represents a step on a journey in which the fragility of humanity is set against the violence of the world it inhabits. Beauty becomes the common thread of an artistic exploration that seeks to embrace the meaning of our existence. Body, word, music, and dance come together, and every action on stage becomes not just a promise, but a commitment: to look beyond what’s immediate, and to elevate our thought.

Providing the backdrop for this fifth edition is Marco Serventi’s photography exhibition, set up in our garden.

The 2023-24 theater season includes a family festival and new playwright shows, and guides us through a journey of recognition, celebrating marginal voices, shades of resistance and concealed acts of courage. Entitled Via dalla corrente, it is in fact a tribute to those on the edges and those who dare to be different. Each performance is a piece of a multifaceted mosaic that leads us to the discovery of divergent realities, to the understanding of existences now as fragile as glass beads, now as strong as stones, able to resist the currents and sometimes capable of changing their course.

For four evenings, the Foundation’s outdoor spaces open to all those who wish to savor art and culture while breathing in the air of summer in a lively and stimulating setting. The festival features prose, dance, physical theater, storytelling and poetry, with the involvement of emerging and established artists.
Interviews, talks, DJ sets and food village complete the atmosphere, for a dynamic and engaging experience.

Voci di dentro is meant to be a response to incommunicability, to isolation, a pretext to question the anxieties that grip us, to not remain mute in the face of a society that appears increasingly deaf. Voci di dentro is indeed a careful look at the many facets of our time. The lens with which we look and scrutinize is always that of theater, which allows us to both focus on a detail, and to widen our field of vision, to achieve a more insightful view d’ensemble. The program of the season includes a series of shows for the whole family and six new playwriting shows.

The third edition of gARTen encapsulates all the summer events in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Foundation. Sculptures, talks, vernissages and artist meetings, live music and performances intertwine for three months in an atmosphere steeped in sociality and nature. Our aims: to promote beauty and to allow different artists from the area to interact with each other and with the public, so that new ways of dialoguing, thinking and building tomorrow today can be born.

Multiverso is the theme of the 2021-22 season. Multiverse is the term scientists use to describe the idea that, beyond the observable universe, other universes may also exist: what lies beyond the boundaries of the observable realm? Is it possible that our universe is just one of many in a much larger multiverse? In the wake of this theory, the 2021-22 season, with a family-friendly show and performances of new dramaturgy, aims to create an opportunity to try to open our gaze, transcending and relativizing what is observable.

For the second year, our summer art offerings inhabit the beautiful park surrounding the Foundation. Embellishing the entire en plein air space is a display of twenty sculptures by local artists: sculptors Gabriela Spector and Tiziana Mucchiani-Farah.

The nine performances offered in the 2020-21 program, including three for children and six new plays, are reduced to three events due to the global pandemic.

For the first time, a sculpture exhibition is offered in the Foundation’s park to present some works by local artists. For this edition, five artists are exhibiting their sculptures: Giada Bianchi, Manuela Mollwitz, Pascal Murer, Gianmarco Torriani and Giorgia Voneschen. The Foundation’s summer events come to life among these artworks, and the public is immersed in beauty and art.

This season seeks to offer a lively cultural program revolving around the theme of change. The main desire of the Claudia Lombardi Theater Foundation is to create, first and foremost for the neighborhood, an opportunity for gathering, entertainment, discussion and cultural exchange. Thus a theater season begins to take shape, with proposals for new plays but also with shows designed especially for younger people.

After two years of activity, in 2018 the Claudia Lombardi Foundation for Theater finds its home and the curtain opens on a series of artistic-cultural proposals, which aim to delineate a new space for the neighborhood to experience together, offering events and performances of high artistic value.
