COLLABORATIONS

The Claudia Lombardi Theatre Foundation’s goal is to build bridges between culture, art and community. Through partnerships with academic institutions, cultural associations, public and private entities, the Foundation fosters intercultural dialogue, supports young talent and promotes inclusive projects. Each partnership is an opportunity to enhance theater as a tool for personal and collective growth, strengthening the link between territory and the art scene.

Caritas Ticino

The Claudia Lombardi Foundation for Theater joins the initiative promoted by Caritas: for all KulturLegi (CartaCultura) holders, admission to all performances of our theater season is free by presenting the card at the box office. The CartaCultura promotes the integration of people affected by poverty into society and prevents social isolation. With a personal pass, you get reduced or free access to culture, sports, education and health. Adults, youth and children living demonstrably at or below the subsistence level are eligible.

Dimitri Theater Academy

The Foundation has boasted a close collaboration with the Dimitri Theater Academy since 2023. Each year it awards the Art residency award which recognizes one of the newly graduated students with a week-long residency. In addition, with the aim of giving space and visibility to young aspiring artists from our area who are about to enter the world of live performance, it annually dedicates the first day of the gARTen summer festival to the Academy’s alumni.

SUPSI - University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland

SUPSI continues to be close to the Foundation’s activities with the degree program in Leisure Management, which identified the Claudia Lombardi Foundation for Theatre as a reality of practice for its students. In 2021 and 2025, our reality was chosen to carry out a field project for second-year students, and in 2023 the Foundation welcomed a graduate student to intern.

AWARD Schweiz

The Foundation is a member of PREMIO Schweiz, which annually selects and supports eight projects by Swiss theater and dance companies. By engaging in interregional cooperation, it aims to connect them to a strong network with more than 50 independent theaters and festivals. In addition to taking part in the selection committee, the Foundation welcomes several of the selected projects to artistic residency.

FIT International festival of theater and contemporary scene

The collaboration with the FIT International Festival of Theater and Contemporary Scene continues, thanks to which members of the Friends of Càsoro Association, which supports and promotes the Foundation’s activities, are entitled to discounts on tickets. The benefits are mutual, and FIT card holders can purchase tickets for our season at a discounted price.

Oltreconfine, since 2023 is active due to commonality of purpose and affinity of mission and values the collaboration with Teatri Riflessi, an international competition of short plays that takes place every year in the province of Catania and of which the Foundation is a jury member. For the 2024 edition, the Foundation is awarding the Claudia Lombardi Foundation Award for Theater to two of the competition’s finalist projects: No, by Annalisa Limardi, and. Techniques of Group Work., by Dimore Creative, programmed within the New Dramaturgy 2025 review.

Ticino Courier Group

For employees of the Corriere del Ticino Group, a valuable media partner that has always supported our activities, the Foundation, since 2024, has been bestowing ad hoc corporate training and team building.

City of Lugano

On the occasion of the 2022 edition of Lugano al femminile, a week promoted by the City of Lugano and dedicated to its female employees, the Foundation will begin conducting a series of in-house trainings, falling, as of 2023, under the continuing education catalog that the City offers to its employees.

Art Happening, sponsored by OtherMovie Lugano Film Festival

OtherMovie Lugano Film Festival is a film festival held in Lugano that stands out for its focus on cinema as a tool for intercultural dialogue and social reflection. The festival focuses on works that address issues related to human rights, cultural diversity, environmental sustainability and social change, promoting films that explore realities often underrepresented in mainstream circuits. Out of a proximity of values, the Foundation from 2019 to 2024 welcomed Art Happenings, or closing events of the festival, into its spaces.

Festival The Beetle, sponsored by Pan Theater

Always an appointment for the community, The Beetle, a festival organized by Teatro Pan in Lugano, offers moments of encounter designed to foster family and social cohesion through the organization of artistic activities for all age groups. On the occasion of the 2024 edition, the Foundation is hosting one of its theater events in its park.

Advent Association

In the summer of 2022, the Claudia Lombardi Foundation for Theater is organizing an inclusive summer camp together with the association Adventuno, which has long accompanied and supported families of people with Down Syndrome. A week dedicated to boys and girls ages 6 to 10 with and without cognitive disabilities, with various workshops in theater, visual arts, yoga and music led by professional artists, trainers and educators to experience the joy of creativity in a welcoming and playful environment.

Sottoceneri Special Schools

Out of our desire for inclusive theater that can break down all sorts of barriers, an association with the Special Schools of Sottoceneri was born in the 2021/2022 school year. Diary of a Class brings to the stage some Special School students and is an attempt to return, through images, words, thoughts, a path made of questions about emotions, dreams, fears.

Morcote Town Hall

The Foundation’s goal is not only to bring people to the theater, but to bring theater to the people.It is with this goal in mind that, in May 2022, we landed in the wonderful setting of the Belvedere at Scherrer Park in Morcote with a show for the whole family.

Hotel De La Paix

The event RoomTheatre organized by the Claudia Lombardi Foundation for Theater comes out in April 2022 from its walls to inhabit the spaces of the Hotel De La Paix in Lugano and bring to life a traveling theater show that engages spectators in an immersive experience, combining performance art and a food and wine trail.

Karakorum Theater

Karakorum Teatro is a Varese-based theater company that engages in cultural and drama projects with a strong focus on community involvement and land enhancement. In 2019 and 2020, the foundation is hosting and co-organizing. Communicating Vessels, an initiative that explores the life of border communities, especially between Italy and Canton Ticino. This format aims to rediscover the social, economic and cultural value of border areas, proposing a perspective that considers them as spaces of connection and exchange rather than division. The project involves artists, citizens and local institutions, generating significant cultural and community impact.
