artistic residencies
Each year, during the month of November, the Fondazione Claudia Lombardi per il teatro selects performance projects for a one-week artistic residency.
The call is open to professional artists from Switzerland and Lombardy who are working on projects in Italian. Eligible categories include prose performances, theatre-song/theatre and music, and physical theatre. Projects related to children’s theatre, dance, or circus arts are not eligible.
The artistic residency provides theatre companies with the opportunity to dedicate quality time to research and experimentation as part of the creative process for a performance.
Through this initiative, the Foundation aims to support artists by offering access to workspaces, a daily stipend, accommodation, consulting, and communication services. This enables artists to refine their creative vision, fully explore their expressive language, and achieve artistic growth.
