ARTISTIC HOSPITALITY

All spaces of the Foundation are always open to professional artists seeking a place to rehearse and create. In addition to offering hosted companies access to rehearsal rooms and all shared spaces, Fondazione Claudia Lombardi per il teatro provides support and consultation.

Over the years, an increasing number of artists have turned to us, finding a home and a point of reference in our space With great pride, we can say that we have placed our trust in many young companies who, over time, have grown, built significant careers, and distinguished themselves on the contemporary theater scene.

Partiturazero

Project by and with Elena Boillat
The play stages in an ironic and light-hearted way a reinterpretation of the feminist theses of the 1970s. The Voice is female, emotion, freedom and inspiration, while the Word-which explains, defines and cages-is male, the product of a culture declined for centuries by men. The audience becomes an orchestra of onomatopoeic sounds that bring back childhood, play, and sharing.

I’m not a Hero

Project by Cie Fluctus with Faustino Blanchut and Kevin Blaser
Selected from the eight projects of PREMIO SCHWEIZ 24, Faustino and Kevin are guests in residence to prepare for PREMIO-Spring Kick-Off-Event 2024. The show, in an interweaving of humor and acrobatics, aims to try to answer the following question: where have our heroes gone and how does heroism manifest itself today?

Enlight(en)-Me

Project by and with Giulia Roversi and with Filippo Angeloni
This work investigates the repercussions that body-related media images can have on a psychological and emotional level through a dance theater performance formed by a performer and a double bass player. Music and silences alternate to put the viewer in a position to be able to focus attention on sound in the dark and movement in silence.

Amante

Project by Michela Priuli and Giulia Gaudenzi
Lover intends to reflect on the concepts of love, pleasure and the act of embracing by taking inspiration from reality, visual art, mythology and the different meanings of the word “lover.” Dance and theater mix to discover and uncover ourselves. Who is lover? Is it an adjective or a noun? What is pleasure? Is it caused by the beautiful or by what is pleasurable? And is what pleases always “beautiful”?

Fear no more

Project by Simona Gonella and Francesca Sangalli with Eleonora Giovanardi, Woody Neri and Anahì Traversi
The project is based on Virginia Woolf’s “Mrs. Dalloway” and reworks the stream of consciousness of the protagonists as they confront the choices decreed by the fear of living. A confrontation with vitality, with the anxiety of the passing of time and with the Shakespearean verse that floods the whole play: “Fear no more the heat o’ the sun / Nor the furious winter’s rages.”

Il rito di Antigone

Project by and with Miriam Giudice
A physical theater performance that stems from personal research on the theme of identity and the process of individuation of the human being, whose novel dramaturgy and staging tell the story of Antigone.

Se c’eri, dormivi

Project by Duo Piantini
A narrative and storytelling performance project with live music that has as its theme our (un)relationship with nature. Two actresses in an empty, symbolic space tell and sing a story of spirits and rubble

Vietato tuffarsi

Project by and with Chiara Arrigoni and Vito Marco Sisto and with Giulia Quercioli
This performance is rooted in the theme of limit and threshold, between the concept of rule and that of freedom, to investigate and discover that place/non-place that becomes a dream. What does “diving” mean? A liberation? A looming fate? A choice? A journey inside very different bodies, places, stories and languages.

Matr.

By and with Isabella Giampaolo
To what extent is it possible to deny pain? It all starts with the mother: she is the one who forms, prepares, the measure of all things. Placing the figure of the mother at the center, the project traces a miscarriage to address the generational succession of unresolved traumas and unspoken words.
